Remember in school, when you used to have a fire fighter come into your class or a general assembly and talk about how important fire detectors are? I sure do, I also remember the coloring books that they handed out every time they spoke. To my six-year-old mind, I thought that those were

Did you know that in 2012-2016 the NFPA estimates that fire departments respond to an estimated average of 355,400 home fires to the tune of 6.5 billion dollars’ worth of property damage? The leading cause of fires is cooking.
And that’s why it’s important to have smoke alarms in your homes, it’s important to do routine maintenance on your alarms like testing the alarms and replacing the batteries when needed. Make sure to have them in all areas of your house. It’s wise to have them in your kitchen, all your bedrooms, your living rooms, and even laundry rooms.
