Fall Storm Preparation

It seems like the wet days are behind us! We were a little waterlogged there for a while, though we’re very thankful we weren’t quite so under water as Oklahoma and other parts of the country were. But that doesn’t mean things are in the clear for us! In just three months’ time, past the heat of the summer, we’ve got fall upon us. And while we don’t get snow like the rest of the country, we do get rain and quite a bit of it!
It’s important to waterproof your house now that the spring rainy season is done in preparation for the fall rainy season. After all, fall is considered to be the second tornado season. We had a few pretty windy storms here the last couple of weeks, so it’d be a good idea to make sure all your shingles are in place and replace any that are missing or broken. Make sure your windows and doors are sealed properly and fix any leaks that you may have noticed from this season’s storms.
